Forgotten Victorian gold asset finds new owner, chairman puts $50k where his mouth is, and election battle lines are drawn in a week that sets the stage for a dynamic Q2
Talking about vertical integration which I 100% support, why doesn't Australia build out a Uranium Enriching industry? even if it captured 10% of the global market it would be of huge upside and benefit to the country. Before anyone asks, I have no industry knowledge or idea how to do it.
Great question and it’s certainly a discussion point. There is huge scepticism around uranium in Australia and enriching it for nuclear power. With that, it is done in several countries overseas and Australia could generate its own power, but the current government is steadfast against it.
10% of the global market would be doable, but it’s a long process and Australia would need to train a workforce to do so, the opposition is pushing for nuclear power with generators set to come online past 2040 if successful.
We haven’t covered uranium in depth in our articles, do you think it would be a point of interest?
Definitely worth a cursory look and decide if it’s worth you time to further investigate. Also I’m talking about a Uranium Enrichment industry regardless if Australia go down the nuclear power route.
